One wonders if since we've seen the end of Miko, (and I agree with Tiberius that she's run her race) if perhaps we've seen the end of Roy as well. Certainly it would put the mortality of his characters into very sharp perspective.
Hey, don't get my hopes up like that!

mmmmmm..... stick with no miko or roy permenantly.... mmmmmm.......

My prediction:

Miko and Roy meet in the afterlife. There is much snarkiness. Just as she's about to offer a real and heartfelt apology, he gets raised and yoinked back, so he never hears it.

No way. Roy was Lawful Good. :)

So was Miko. I can see them sharing the same afterlife. Miko just gets shut out of the "Paladin's Club" and can't hang out with the other dead Paladins or attend the club picnics ;)

I really liked the wrap-up in this strip. I'm not the Miko hater that some folks are, so maybe I'm more inclined to be sympathetic, but wow, I felt really bad for Miko there at the end. I think her asking about the horse just set me over the edge.

I'm wondering if either of them (Roy or Miko) will end up raised. I hope that Roy gets raised -- for me he's the main character and my favorite of the bunch.

Yeah, I thought I was gonna be all kinds of happy when Miko finally died, but now I'm feeling a little sorry for her. Probably because she finally managed to pull her head out of her butt at the end.

'Course, she had to have her butt physically removed from her first, but still... :)

I didn't expect to either, but I really, really do.

So does my wife (she doesn't follow the comic except over my shoulder, but she has great pathos for stick figures).

I think we'll cut to Roy in the afterlife "living" it up. He'll be more than content to realize 1) he's in Paradise, 2) he doesn't have to deal with Belkar anymore, and 3) he doesn't have to listen to Elan anymore, etc. Then arrives Miko who annoys him to no end and suddenly he can't wait to get back to the world of the living.
