Eh, don't think so. Sabine's friends are yellow, orange, and purple. The new villain is more of a red. Similiar, but it looks like a different color.

Yeah, alright. I had remembered the purple fiend being redder, and in my haste neglected to check.

Just before that, Xykon said "Cloister" as if he were casting a spell. I'm not familiar with the spell in question, but his comment that the city is "off the grid" leads me to believe he hid it from scrying and/or divination magic.
