I prefer the space as thousand separator, personally. 1 000 000. And I think that if you're going to use both periods and commas in numbers, then you should use the period for thousand separators and comma for the decimal separator. 100.000.000,000.000.001 looks more logical and balanced to me than 100,000,000.000,000,001. Not that it really matters anyway, it's mostly aesthetic preference; but I find it easier to instantly see where the comma is in a sea of dots than to find the period in a swarm of commas.

Huh... I was always taught that you never use seperators after the period at all. It would be 100,000,000.000000001, and the period's placement is blatantly obvious. Oh well, that is how different cultural representations of numbers go, I guess.

same here. In US always 1,000,000,000,000.0000001 that's the standardized format taught in every public school in the States. Now I'd heard some European countries use 1.000.000.000,0001 in reverse of our system but I'd never heard of anyone using separators in the fractional values.

Whether or not the Romans were evil (and I could make a strong case for LE if I was of the mood), in Western literature and rhetoric before the Nazi's came along Romans were used as stock villains in the same way that Nazi's are used now. Granted, they relationship of the West to Rome was never the same as it is to the Nazi's, because the notions of legitimate authority in the West were and still are drawn from Rome and there was and is in literature the notion of the 'good Roman' and the 'bad Roman'.

But trotting out 'the Roman empire' as the symbol of brutality, tranny, and evil was the Godwin's Law of its day.

PS: Besides which, the remark was prompted specifically by asking what the 'old Imperial unit' of evil was.
