I fear you are right. :(

And with only 1 or maybe 2 strips per week, the story seems to drag.
Erfworld is suppose to be 2 a week but around the time that Rich took hiatus, it went to once a week. I wonder if Erfworld's slowness is because of Rich or because of something going on with the writer/artist/etc side of things. Either way, its still a cool strip.

Agreed. And the major event that just happened in the strip strongly suggests we're about to see some kind of resolution to the main conflict, or at least a turning point on par with the arrival of the Rohirrim at Pelennor Fields.

Back on the original topic, "kilonazis." Love it! It's great to have Rich back, even if he can only do 2 per week. The man has health troubles- I can deal.

there are some strips that only update once a week (Goblins and Nodwick)...so I'm grateful for two updates....
That's true. Other webcomics I follow, such as Lil 'Formers and Full Frontal Nerdity are once per week, while VGCats is pretty much whenever the guy feels like it, and AppleGeeks is twice per week (not counting AG Lite, which is M/W/F almost without fail). They can't all be PVP (updated every day), which is fine.

However OotS is often advertised as three updates a week (M/W/F). If the site said once a week, then so be it. As others noted, ErfWorld seems to have slowed down as well, and it's twice a week.

Hell, even PvP can't be PvP. Scott's been reasonably good lately, but it's been pretty common for the past several months for him not to update for days at a time and then just post a bunch without warning. So, yeah, he averages 1/day, but that doesn't mean he posts one every day.

And there, you hit the nail on the head. It's all about consistency. Nobody will fault you for picking a slower posting schedule. Heck, you could probably get away with 1/month. The important thing to do, though, is to pick a schedule and stick with it! If you say you're going to post new content every monday, post new content every monday. If you say you're going to post new content on the third Tuesday of each month, post new content on the third Tuesday of each month.

The thing that really gets me is that often, Rich will post a 2- or 3-page comic when breaking the comic fast, and I can't help but feel like he should have just posted each of those pages when they were completed instead of posting all of them at once. Or, heck, even if he did them all at once, just post them one at a time so he can build up a buffer and continue the normal posting schedule even if he's sick.

Ultimately, though, the fact is that Order of the Stick is, imho, the single funniest-- and most consistently funny-- comic on the internet. Bad OotS strips are few and far between, and he has way more than his fair share of absolute gems. If I sound like I'm complaining an awful lot, it's only because the comic's so good and I love it so much!

The Roman.

Technically, it was the Augustine (lawful evil), the Neroni (nuetral evil) and the Caligulan (chaotic evil). This was later modified by Southerners into Chaotic-Weevil, Neutral-Weevil and Lawful-Weevil, all measured in numbers of DamnYankees. This was all terribly complicated and so things were revised into kilonazis.

That said, the strip was funny. And Roy makes a good argument for keeping an evil person around.

I wonder how kilonazis relate to megafonzies...
