OotS #490 is up

The last message was something to the effect of "Sorry for the trouble."

"We apologize for the inconvenience", I think it was. But, essentially, yeah.

Anyone think that, with 4e's supposed Great New Multiclassing options that make fighter-mages effective, Roy winds up taking some wizard levels in the future? Or does he never give in to the pressure of that high INT stat?

I think Roy wants to stay a single-class Fighter for no other reason then to prove a point to his father.

Unless he his secretely cooperating with WotC and plans to release the Snarl when the 4th edition hits the market. The gods have to recreate or at least rebuild a lot of the world... :)

Agreed about Roy. :) About alignment, though, don't you just mean that the average Joe should be true neutral in the passive sense? ;)

No When I say no alignment, I mean no alignment, Read my post again.

It's a D&D comic. And there's waaaay too much comedy potential in the move to 4th Edition to let it go to waste. Just look at the very first OOTS strip for proof.

Supposing that 4e brings us the end of alignment, that would basically crush the very existance of many of the stories aspects. Belkar could get rid of his lead plate. Roy could stop agonizing of his alignment, because under the 4e cosmology its its piety that matters not his beliefs. And so forth.

Well, Snarl getting loose would be a big world-changing event even bigger than the Realms Shaking Events that are out there, given that the last time Snarl got loose it killed 1/4 of the deities of that entire world, killed every mortal, and destroyed the world itself in only a few minutes.

While the Time of Troubles, and more recently the Spellplague, were huge events, the Rampage of the Snarl would be way bigger.

I guess on that scale of perspective, Realms fans were lucky.
