Man, I had to bite my tongue to keep from taking this discussion in a whole new direction - from literary theory to philosophy.


And Darkwolf, I don't see your suicide suit analogy working because the people who do the suing are trying to say that the message they interpret from the song compelled them to attempt suicide.

I'll grant you that for the Stained Class case. It works very well for A Tout Le Monde, though. There are many who say that it is about suicide, while Dave Mustane maintains that it is simply about death and saying goodbye.


Now, what about the really important question here... Think we'll see 600 today? I'm all anxious and stuff.

Wouldn't say "common", but it has happened.

Plus, it would fit with V's "quest for power" and very vague backstory - the player is simply a powergamer.

I made a huge post, but much though I tried to avoid it I basically came to a conclusion which is based heavily on a comparison to religion. I don't really think I stepped over the lines of the board, but if anyone saw fit to discuss my post it would be difficult to do so without potentially crossing those lines, so I decided to make my post elsewhere. In a nutshell, I provide (in-character) evidence for V's actions, any try to explain why I don't think it's valid to claim his/her actions are based on those of a player.
