Its clear that my views are most unwelcome at ENWorld. People would rather make unfounded statements about me, ignoring clarifications than address the point.

I'm quite disappointed.

I point out that none of my posts on this (or any other board for that matter) contain personal insults or offensive words that need to be edited as I have recently seen others contain here.

This is an open invitation to email me and ask me questions about my true thoughts and feelings an any subject.

If you think I'm a jerk, here's your chance. I abide by the same rules in personal exchanges as this board. Ask Dinkledog. We exchanged a number of messages. You won't be offended, unless disagreement is offensive to you. I promise I'll be respectful.

Of course, if you're just interested in a flame war, save your time. You won't hurt my feelings and I'll just delete your message with the knowledge that I must be right if all you have to resort to is name calling.

I'm not complaining...just trying to engage people in dialogue. I have felt a surprising amount of animosity from this board though - and via Nutkinland where someone directed my attention to a thread about me that grew to 4 pages (4 pages! I'm flattered I rate that much attention )

Apparently because my opinions differ from theirs, I'm an idiot. But I guess that is what Nutkinland is for. So instead of being juvenile, I offer to speak with people. Strangely (or maybe not) no one has taken me up on it.

Yea I lurk over at Nutkinland and I saw the thread, but isn't that what "angry chair" is for? That's what they do, it's the place where people rant, your not the first to be a target, not by a longshot. As far as e-mail replies go, well I doubt anyone really cares enough to go to that extent. I get dragged into stuff all the time, and the wonderful thing about EN World is that there is always a next thread, people I argued for days with in one thread I agree with in the next. I try not to take anything personal around here, it's bad for the blood pressure. I'd like everybody who disagrees with me to keep it comming, where's the fun if everybody agrees.

I'll second that! Taking these boards too seriously is a waste of time and emotion. Just relax. Learn from those you might admire and those you might not. Most everyone on these boards has probably gone through the same feeling you are going through. Most are the wiser from it.

I'm not really worried about it.
The thing I like about this place is its general civility thanks to the mods. I just want people to know that I'm willing to talk with anyone. I find it strange that people seem to invest so much time in hating someone they don't even know.
Really, why even post about me?
So I'm giving them a chance to get some bitterness out of their lives.

I'm not going to give this any more thought. It's not worth the time.

In any case, I'm trying to cut back my time here a bit and do something productive. Its time for a career change I think. I need to start doing something I enjoy and something that makes a bit more money. [/quick look into Jason's life]
