Open World Press announces...

And so the race is on:

Which will come out first - this, or the World's Largest City from AEG (if that product will even exist).

(Actually, it doesn't really matter to me - I'll buy both. ;) )

Wow, the variety of reactions (and sub-advertising)!

While I am sure "The World's Largest City" will be a bigger product, I am focusing more on detail than size. So, yes, this will be the most detailed city sourcebook ever published.

In terms of release schedules, I've learned to just concentrate on what I'm doing rather than what other folks are doing. I wish all the best luck to them on their projects though! :)

Thank you, Alaric! I'm glad you've enjoyed the books.

I am still talking with different people about an alternate rules system. If there is anyone with a suggestion, please let me know. It should be one with an established fan base.

A fan base? How big are you looking for? There is a Hackmaster fanbase, there is a Castle and Crusades fan base, there is a Shadowrun fan base, there is a RIFTS/Paladium fan base, there is all kinds of fan bases for all kinds of "dice" systems. Just d20 is the monster, especially since no one has any solid idea how many people play other "systems".

I am currently playing L5R (d10) and DMing Megatraveller (2d6), so that is a fan base of five for those two.

Harp or Rolemaster have fan bases too, with Harp being the more recent version/relation of Rolemaster. I know the publisher often posts to these boards. Raysr I think is his screen name.

Hero is another good setting and they have some serious fantasy support.

Doubt it'd be possible, but Warhammer is making a comeback to the RPG field. Green Ronin would be the people to talk to about that one.

Ars Magica 5th edition is also coming out. Atlas Games there.

Another impossible one with high fan base and lots of support would be Exalted.
