you know, I don't mean to be "any type of way" in saying this, but the one thing that I think really helps getting a new piece of software adopted by the community is having a tutorial screencast demonstrating the app. It just takes so much effort to "get into" a new program and read the manual and figure out its idiosyncrasies. Yet, a 2min video showing off the basic features, and maybe a longer one getting more in depth is such an easier curve to get over. Its really not a lot of effort to make a short screencast, and the more that it opens your app to the community is way more than worth the effort.
