OpenRPG 1.7.1 Released!

Years ago I started an open source project, OpenRPG, to help people RPG online. Other developers over time have taken up the mantle and thus it lives on. Check out the latest incarnation, Open RPG 1.7.1.

you know, I don't mean to be "any type of way" in saying this, but the one thing that I think really helps getting a new piece of software adopted by the community is having a tutorial screencast demonstrating the app. It just takes so much effort to "get into" a new program and read the manual and figure out its idiosyncrasies. Yet, a 2min video showing off the basic features, and maybe a longer one getting more in depth is such an easier curve to get over. Its really not a lot of effort to make a short screencast, and the more that it opens your app to the community is way more than worth the effort.

There is a free trial, but if you look around you might be able to find it for free. Esp the older v3.

That's a good idea. This is not a for profit thing, so everything is volunteer. I don't have time to do such a thing, but if you post this on the openrpg forums, there's a fair chance someoone will step to the plate a do it.

I would even do it myself, but I never use the virtual tabletop apps... (thats kinda why I suggested it, I guess)
