Oppression vs. Ambition

Cycle: 503, Day: 121, Season: Harvest
Jalakaag: 32(soullessness)
Jalakaag: 82 - 71 = 11 + 1000(wait) = 1011
Whiron: 600
Lizards: 82 - 18 = 64 + 1000(movement) = 1064
Jalakaag: 23(aggression) + 13(accuracy) + 33(fury) + 9(d10) = 78
Whiron:
Lizards: 12 + 6 = 18

Jalakaag: 22(readiness) + 13(dodge) + 31(analysis) + 9(d10) = 75 + 32(soul) = 107
118 - 107 = 11% * 3 = ~1 x 3 = 3 Body
Whiron: 13 + 31 + 22 + 2 = 68
118 - 68 = 50% * 3 = 2 x 2 = 4 Body
Lizards: 12 + 6 = 18
78 - 18 = 60% * 3 = 2 Mind
Jalakaag: 15(bending) + 33(concussion) + 7(d10) = 55
Whiron: 43 + 32(taint) + 13 = 88

Lizards: 8, 4 + 11 = 19, 15
55 - 19 = 36 - 19 = 17% * 4 = 1 Mind
88 - 15 = 73% * 3 = 2 Mind
L1: Mind: 2 - 2 = 0, unconscious
L2: Mind: 2 - 2 - 1 = -1, unconscious
Whiron sends his augmented snail shell sailing toward one of the lizards, tendrils of yellow mist drift from the shell as it flies. There is no way to know if the projectile actually strikes its target or merely lands near, but the effect is the same. The consciousness of that lizard is overcome by the mystical taint released from the shell. Two more lizards rush from the tall grass to grab ahold of Whiron. One bites his right leg, the other his left arm. The bites hurt.

Despite his altered presence, Jalakaag is assaulted by three lizards, one on each leg and one on his left arm. The one on his arm he knocks away with his right, also generating a concussive wave that sends it a stride away. That lizard loses consciousness. Each young man must continue to deal with a pair of lizards.
Jalakaag: Body: 10 - 3 = 7, hurt.

Magister Karef Gyenin had received his confirmation on his previous contract, but it would not do to have his next contributor come to him. He quaffed a glass of the better local alcoholic beverage to mitigate his irritation. His control over the man was tenuous at best, and it would not do to seem to belittle or command any member of the College of Radiance, in the eyes of the populace. Karef made his way to the Radiant Tower within the Guildmaster District. The monolith to the Burning Sun stood in the courtyard in front of the tower. The name of the building did not really fit its construction, for it did not specifically tower over the other building of the district. The name was more symbolic. The leaders of the city’s official Religion of Light met in the tower. The specific hierarchy of the clergy was not known outside of its membership, but while the Radiant One was hailed as the oracle for the Burning Sun, it was the member of the College of Radiance who chose the person to fill that position. The Magister wanted his man inside the college to influence, what he deemed, a much simpler decision. Now that the previous magister of the Alchemy District had met with an early demise a special election must be held to choose his replacement. Karef had chosen Vieri Hadrin, a fellow Sioliri, to be the replacement.
