Oracle build advice

First Post
Hello. I'm currently creating a new character using the APG for Pathfinder. It's going to be an oracle with the lore mystery. Its role is to have all the knowledge stuff and provide buff/debuff spells and have high diplomacy/CHA skills.
For the stats, we use pointbuy with 15 points, I take human and chose the following:
STR 7
DEX 8
CON 12
INT 12
WIS 10
CHA 18
I want to use the +2 from human for CHA to get it to 20. What do you think of this? I want to get extra revelation as a feat at 1st level so I can have sidestep secret and focused trance at 1st level. I plan to be in the background during fights, supporting the party, so I don't think I need the STR. But I could lower my CON and instead take WIS to 12, what do you think of that?
edit: Ah, I didn't think about armor... what would you advise me? Maximum leather? I guess medium would be too much if I'm always in the back row (and if I'm ambushed, try to get away asap^^).

Str 12
Dex 12
Con 12
Int 12
Wis 7
Cha 16

You have a spare point, so make one of the 12's a 13. Which you pick is totally up to you, probably based on what feats you want. Dodge needs dex 13, Combat Expertise Int 13, and so forth. Wear decent armor, don't nuke your str so low that you have to wear ultrlight crappy armor. Sorry wis has to be so low, but it's your least important stat and 15 point buy is really brutal. Human +2 goes to charisma.

Why would I get Combat Expertise? I am in the backrow and not using a weapon at all, only casting. I would need to make an attack to use this feat which seems senseless as a pure caster and supporter.
I would have to calculate what armor I could wear (guess it's going to be a breastplate somewhere in the distant future?) so it doesn't encumber me.
What do you say about this:

STR: 10 DEX: 13 CON: 12 INT: 12 WIS: 8(don't want a too low will save^^) CHA: 16

As long as you can wear breastplate (eventually mithral breastplate) without encumbering yourself any more than the armor does, I gues str doesn't matter if you insist on being in the back. The expertise was just an example, I didn't expect you'd actually go for it. But a lot of feats require a 13 in something, so if any that you want do...

Your stats seem fine. As long as you're not trotting around in leather with dex 8, that's just asking to get creamed. "Being in the back" is far from a sure-fire protection.

The thing about being a caster/supporter is that enemies don't charge you and then stop short and apologize. "Oh crap ... my bad, man. Didn't see you were a caster, man. I'll just go over here and swing my battleaxe at the tank-looking guy in the full platemail, okay? Cool."

Basically, you're going to get pulled into melee. This is a fact of life in Pathfinder. And once you're in melee, the best way to get back to being support is to kill whatever's in front of you as fast as possible, and not die while you're doing it.

I would recommend moving the 12 from Int to Str. 10 Str is brutal for encumbrance.

STR: 10 DEX: 13 CON: 12 INT: 12 WIS: 8(don't want a too low will save^^) CHA: 16

I would rather dump Dex than Wisdom, since you have Sidestep Secret. Bracers of armor and a magic buckler are also your friends, once you can afford them.

I once made a lame oracle of lore who had a low Str and Dex and was never without his "walking stick" (staff), basically a crippled seer. I never got around to playing it but it was an interesting concept. You could make the staff a defending weapon and have a pretty amazing AC with bracers of armor and sidestep secret. And since you'll be in the back casting, who cares if you move slowly?

I guess it depends on the playing style of your group. More hack and slash? Put the 12 in Str. More solving riddles and intrigue, needing a wide knowledge base? Up the Int.

Dex can go down to 10 in my view, you could use it better for Cha/Wis or Int/Str.
