Orangina: The perfect potion prop

Asmor

First Post
I was at the store today and saw a 4-pack of Orangina. I almost walked past it, it's an uncommon beverage, though hardly rare, and while I like it I'm not crazy about it. But as I was walking past, the bottles caught the corner of my eye.

All of a sudden I was assaulted with inspiration-- the thin-necked, fat-bellied bottles would make absolutely perfect props for potions and what-not. Tear and clean off the label, replace the cap with a cork, voila!

For those not familiar with it, here's a nice pic of it (scroll down).

Now, I just need to find some suitable corks and decide what to fill the things with...

I use those little salad dressing bottles which come with the more upmarket salads, pasta and patés. In the UK, you can get them at Waitrose. Some of them already come with a cork (look for anything with champagne vinegarette :p ).

Taste better than Orangina, IMHO.

Actually, I found some bottles (with a cork in one!) that had scented incense oil crap in it that had to be burned out. But they're glass, and look real nice.

I think whatever you put into it, it needs to glow. Too bad that glowstick fluid doesn't last forever when activated.

My mom had a perfume bottle with a neat design and a heart shape on it. When the bottle was empty she let me have it.

Makes for a pefect Potion of Healing vial.

I had a friend who wouldn't eat hummus because it sounded too much like humis. I thought it was ridiculous.

I'm now finding that I have no desire to even try Orangina because of one of the possible referents in its portmanteau-sounding name. I'm drinking what?

This has always made me wonder why PCs/npcs don't just consolidate all their healing potions into 1 giant flask, and down the entire content at 1 go (probably a full round action at most), instead of wasting precious actions slowly quaffing individual potions one by one?

Or what if they could carry a water backpack filled with liters of cure serious wounds, with a tube leading to the wearer's mouth, and he can sip the healing potion as he fights....:p
