Are these +10 pies? And how many levels do the orcs in question have in which classes and prestige classes? How are the two rooms proofed against story-killing high-level spells like teleport, scry and detect pie? You leave a lot of questions unanswered with that adventure...;)

I'm just waiting for Monte (in honor of the Epic Handbook) to post the stats for a Brb20/Ftr20 Paragonic Phase-Doppelganger-Orc-Troll holding a +10 ghost touch/heavy fortified/shocking burst glamoured Pie of Brilliance on his web site.... :)

Why choose? Unless these are epic level orcs, I'll just kill them both and eat both pies.

Careful, do you know what the DC is for eating two epic pies?! You need to be in the triple-digit levels to even have a chance...

DM "You just had a hard fought with that rarther brutish orc". You see a pie on the table"

PC "I eat the Pie."

DM "Roll a Pie Check"

PC "Pie Check?"

DM "Ya a Pie Check it was made by an epic sheff"

PC "Okay whats the DC?"

DM "41"

PC "Umm what happens if I fail?

DM "The Pie eats you"

PC "Fair enough, I attempt to eat the pie."

Oh, that is *so* not epic. Remember, an epic character has access to all kinds of magic - including scrying magic (to see if the Cherry Pie Room really has a cherry pie) and divinations (to decide which is better to eat first). The adventure design needs to include the result of an augury[/]i (weal?), the result for scrying on each room ("You see an orc pacing back and forth in the room. Behind him is a pie - which *appears* to be cherry."), the result of typical communes (Cleric: "Is it Your will that I take the cherry pie first?" Pelor: "Yes"; Cleric: "Shall I steal the cherry pie from the orc?" Nerul: "Slay the orcs; I care not what happend to the pies.").

this could apply to all the new books...

orc traps and treachery pie..

the orcs stronghold and the pie builders handbook...

the book of challenged orc pies...
