Just wanted to drop a quick note and say I went to OrcCon this year and had a blast. It's been many years since I attended this local gaming convention, and I forgot how fun it is. I really enjoyed an excellent Stargate d20 game, as well as a fun Apples to Apples game, and a few other things. My friends got their butts kicked at Puerto Rico, but did well at TransAmerica and Princes of Florence. The dealer's room was well stocked (though I am still amazed at booths that offer no discount on older RPG stuff - come on now, why buy at full price when every WOTC store in town is already at 50% off on that same stuff?) and I saw some interesting new items (like the System Lords book for Stargate SG-1 and some nice new egyptian figures and models from Crocodile Miniatures).
Anyway, it was a fun convention, and I am looking forward to the next one. It's really neat that a good board game player can actually walk away at a profit from winnings at the games (in Dealer Dollars)...and I plan on doing it next con.
