Orcus and Cthulhu

A potentially immortal horror due to both Orcus' mastery of the undead and Cthulhu's disregard for conventional physical laws. Orcus would likely ascend to full godhood with dominion over Chaos, Madness, and Undeath.

Assuming Orcus could both defeat and fully assimilate Cthulhu, then survive the inevitable retribution of Cthulhu's allies, what would such a gestalted horror be like?

Weird plug (with apologies), but both are stat'ed out in the Appendices of the new 5E Player's Guide (as sample characters) and there is something in the 5E Epic Bestiary (you'll know it when you see it) that would make the perfect Gestalt-form. But can't spoil that surprise...its too good. :giggle:

Are you sure you don't risk copyright problems with Orcus and Cthulhu?

I love but do not accept the apology because it only brings more anticipation :ROFLMAO:

As dave2008 mentioned those characters are not copyrightable. That said I do have some in the book that are copyrightable...except I changed the names...although only two at the last count. I annoyingly had to cut 5 npc's to hard lock the book at 400 pages. Obviously anything cut will appear in a following book. One was going to be the Lady of Pain...indirectly.

Orcuthulhu is a gargantuan mass of bloated, decomposing flesh on a skeletal frame. From his back extend enormous bat-like wings, etched and glowing with the light of constellations from an unknown cosmos. A mass of writhing tentacles extend from its face, slick with abyssal ichor and dotted with eyes, scanning in every direction and glowing red with madness. Its arms are muscular but decayed and it grips in its hand a skull-topped wand pulsing with an eldritch, alien power. Instead of legs Orcuthulhu trails a mass of tentacles that blend into the shadows, making it impossible to determine where its form truly begins or ends.
The rise of Orcuthulhu causes the the ground, sky, and everything within its vicinity to phase and twist in to a mad, alien landscape that causes living things to rot and the dead to rise up through the suppurating muck...
