Ok, so given the right set of tools, would Orcus want to destroy the world? I know some general info about the guy, but there is a lot of history for the demon that I only know through playing in a game. That has the potential to be heavily homebrewed, and I would like to start from a clean source.
So tell me out there you assembled Orcusphiles, what makes Orcus tick? Does he want to destroy the world, enslave mankind or just get bagels delivered every morning?
My plot is this: There are a series of planar gates in the Abyss. These gates lead from one level to the next highest level. They shift around a lot, but once every 10,000 years or so they all align so it is possible to step from the lowest directly to the prime material. That is still a good 5000 years away, but Orcus (if he so chose) has found a way to realign the gates and allow something to come directly very early. I was thinking of using the Armies of the Abyss -- Armageddon beast as my surprise.
But is this something that Orcus would do? As if he succeeds, the planet will be depopulated and probably cracked...
Any help would be appreciated.
