Order of the Stick, 390

There's a flaw in that plan, though. It requires Elan to be witty. Given that Elan's way with words seem to be mostly limited to "verb, verb, verb, verb, verb the adjective noun!", I'm not sure he'll go far with that class.
Nope. The requirement is to either say a witty pun, or spout a catch-phrase - and as you've just pointed out, Elan has a ready-made catchphrase available.

"Stab, stab, stab, stab, stab, stab the duplicitous twin brother!"

Um, dude, the very first panel in your example has "verb, verb, verb, verb, preposition the noun".
Well, yes, but I didn't want to get pedantic about it. The point was, four verbs, not five or three.

I think Elan threw off his own counting on that one by using a verb with more syllables than he can usually master. Consider that "concentrate" has both a primary stressed and a secondary stressed syllable, and therefore can only fit half as many times into his usual metre.

Guys, Elan probably scored a whole cheat sheet of catch-phrases from Cap'n Julio. I don't think he'll have to worry about making Nale see the point (Zing!) and forcing Name to deal with his rapier wit! (zing!)

Of course, For mega-drama Hailey will break out of her jumble-speak to say "I love you!" to Elan, just as he says "I know." And that aught to be enough to get him a second attack that round...

More! More! More! Dagnabbit, this plot is getting so good. It's too bad that most of the two days will be spent in the airship, although I suppose that there could be a bunch of good stuff happening during that time. Rich, don't let us down!

cheers,
--N

Two days on the airship...

Well obviously they "NEED A MONTAGE!"...

Anyone else thinking that the pirate airship captain could state the following:

"Yes Elan, I am your father."

He doesn't look like a LE warlord to me... :uhoh:
