I actually liked Miko's character. I thought she was a little over the top but the party is incredibly self-absorbed and narrow minded and deserve a little righteous prodding. I thought Roy's comment at the end was totally uncalled for. It was like watching some bad sitcom, where the main character tells off the jerk that they have building up for several episodes. The only thing missing was the tired and pathetic phrase "You go, girl!" Too bad that Roy had already turned back into a guy. I'll be very disappointed in Rich if he now has Miko do a complete 180 and become some apologetic wuss, or do something retarded like question her paladinhood. Although her attitude was over the top, the party's treatment and attitude towards her was not much better. I love paladins as a great class rife with role-playing opportunity, and I hate it when people stereotype them as being either stuck up jerks, or naive do-gooders, and then have the audacity to complain that they are a disruptive two-dimensional class!! I mean, WTF?!? And the whole attitude that a paladin holds the party back, or causes disruptions in the party, is also ridiculous. Paladins are the essence of fantasy and D&D for me. They are about being a shining hero and taking the fight into the darkness itself. A party of good heroes would never be disrupted by the presence of a well-played paladin. They would be strengthened. But, I guess the key there is "well-played". Bad players and DMs who lack the skill to run a paladin as anything but the tired stick in the mud, or naive do-gooder stereotype, are the real cause of any disruption in a good aligned party. And of course, paladin's don't fit an evil aligned party. That's a given. Complaining about that is like complaining that rain makes you wet. Duh.
