Organized Play has given up control of Living City

No joke Erik, people in my area rave about your old school mods. (well, they rant as well but that's also good in my book :p)

Ahh...I didn't remember that you were dealing with Spellblade. That's great news. The list of mods they were going to release really had my group excited, and most of us have played and enjoyed your mods in the past. (I think I've only played 1, only joined in 99).

Well, here's hoping that the RPGA will allow LC to continue. I really don't see it as likely since they already have a 2 FR campaigns, and everybody claims that they wanted to shut down LC years ago.

This may sound like a dumb question, but I assume this annoucement means that Organized Play have dropped plans to released adventures created from the Living City campaign?

They are returning the license to WotC so I assume they would not be able to publish anything that's not OGC.

LC had a deal with Spellblade Studios to write the high level content we were so damn eager to play...now I wonder what the status of that contract is. Did the rights to the Spellblade mods go to WotC or is OP still the holder? It sounds like Dancey made some sort of deal with WotC beyond simply releasing the license so I suspect that the Spellblade material now resides with WotC and the RPGA.
