Oriental Adventures Material updated?

Other than the Dragon Mag article a while back that updated the OA book for 3.5, what material from Oriental Adventures has been redone in 3.5? Classes, feats, etc.

Or, what are good sources for an OA style campaign that are for 3.5?

The samurai, wu jen, and shugenjawere all redone as base classes in the Complete books. A lot of the feats and things have been redone outside of that issue of Dragon, and many of the prestige classes showed up in revised versions in the Complete series as well.

You should check out the consolidated lists of feats, classes, etc. on Wizards' page and you'll get a pretty good overview of what was updated and where there.

I think Legends of the Samurai and Jade Dragons & Hungry Ghosts are pretty cool for this kind of thing. YMMV, and all that.

Hm. JD&HG might be 3.0, going from memory. Still, 3e anyway.

Personally, I find the 3.5 revisions of the OA classes to be pretty woeful. Particularly the Samurai. Mind you, the Shugenja, with a bit of minor tweaking (or even without) can make for a half-decent Elementalist class for nearly any kind of setting.

There's a Dragon Magazien article that updates OA to 3.5e. Can't remember which issue, though.

Also, do NOT use the Complete Warrior samurai. It sucks, the OA one is a lot better. The CW samurai is a crappy class based off of Miyamoto Musashi, the samurai kensei who invented "Two Heavens as One" technique known as niten-ichi and half based off of the Intimidate skill. It's useless because Intimidate doesn't work on everything, can be defeated easily with immunity to fear, and the niten-ichi abilities and other abilities are only based on a katana and wakizashi...better carry around several katanas and wakizashis for whenever they're lost, stolen, or sundered.

Kitsunemori from Dog Soul is a good "micro-setting" for an RPG using Japanese mythology. Plenty of d20 goodness there!

No, no. A slightly modified (for cultural purposes) OA samurai would make for a good knight. Thank you.

Hong "and good night" Ooi

As I recall, the OA 3.5 update was around issue #314 or #317- as I recall, it featured a white background fronted by an asian woman attacking the "viewer" and blurbs about ninjas, pirates and dinosaurs.

I'd look it up for you, but I'm at a Drury Inn in San Antonio right now.

The update was in Dragon #318, but the original post asks for material other than the Dragon magazine article.
