Glacial Smasher (15 Brute)

Thinking it's like the ritual to make a frosthammer, but including some rare elemental ice component (heart of an ice archon or whatever) and is made entirely of glacier water. No Evian, no Poland Springs. Glacier, or bust.

I started experimenting with making pdfs. Bit of a pain how some of the stuff works, but it's better than the, uhh, $450 to buy a real version from adobe. Grumble. Anyhow, one side effect is that I may be going through some of the older stuff trying to make enough stuff to fill a page a little nicer.

What are you using? Open Office supports PDF export, but I generally recommend trying LaTex.
It is not "WYISWG" (what you see is what you get), but it is (I recently heard this expression) "WYGISWYM" (What you get is what you mean). I used it for my diploma thesis and my job application letters, and in various projects before that.

Time to plug Scribus. Takes a bit of work to use, but can do .PDFs properly. And is fairly polished. Warning: Deactivate visual styles/themes to run it (either completely or just for the program - that's already enough).

Cheers, LT.

Was trying a word to pdf converter and open office. Thanks for the tips, I'll check them out.

Though I'm leaning more towards Scribus, considering I have a specific look I'm trying for, at least for now.

Orc Rager (1 Brute)
Blood-Crazed Orc Rager (1 Elite Brute)
Powerful Sage (12 Controller)
Frostvale Warder (21 Artillery)
Blood-Crazed (Brute/Skirmisher template)

Also, PDF initial draft of me experimenting with the layout for things. Love feedback, as always. The four colors for the four blasts are just showing some options. I'm not sure whether it's a good idea or not to highlight recharge abilities and, if so, what color to use.

The layout looks fine, but I would try some different colors. ;)
Yep. The muted colours WotC uses are much easier on the eyes. Also: Red on grey looks terrible - I think if you're using the little dice icons, the recharge abilities stand out enough without extra colouring.

Cheers, LT.

Yeah, I figure I can't use the exact same colors as wotc, so I was trying others. I picked red cause it was the 'encounter' color for player powers, partially. That and cause I narrowed the color pallette down to like blue, red, purple, green that actually looked good to me and I didn't want to use both red and green.

I didn't have the dice for the font yet, but I noticed the font got updated with them last night.

Though I'm not entirely sure I like them all that much. I'll have to see more monsters to get a feel for it, I guess.
