Origins 2004

Its great to hear Green Ronin will be there in full force. From what I heard last year a few d20 publishers weren't that happy withe Origins and were thinking of not coming back. Mind you these were some of the smaller publishers.

Wow, just not a lot of people going to Origins? THat's a bit odd. IT is a great convention.
I went once, several years ago, and got my university to pay for hotel, gas (both ways, 2 8-hour drives), and admission. I loved it.

Unfortunately, now I am poor and don't know if I'll be working during that weekend. I also don't want to go by myself. I'm trying to scrounge up some money and friends, but it's slow going. Most of my friends aren't gamers (the bums). The real problem, though, is work, and I don't know when I'll find out if I'll be off. :(

so, what games are people playing? Anything really cool you know about that others should know? I'm hoping they add more Vampire the REquim games so I can get into one, but it's looking dim. I'm happy to get to play Firefly using the little know Qags system. It also helps that I know the system and have some of their books.

I'm going all four days. Games morning, noon and night. A few of the cool things that I've signed up for:

OriginsCrawl 2004 - Every year, Pandahead Games runs an XCrawl at Origins, and the winners of the crawl will have their characters featured in a new product next year. Often the writers run the games so you get to meet and talk with them as well. Lots of fun!

7th Sea games - The old roll and keep system. I played in an adventure last year written and run by Patrick Parrish, which was called A Fistful of Guilders. I had so much fun, that I just had to sign up again this year.

D&D with Jonathon Tweet - Yeah! I got into this game early.

In addition, I'm also very happy that Green ROnin will be there, because I'd like to give them some money. I need to catch up on my Mutants & Masterminds books. I hear Steve Kenson will be there as well, and I may be geeky and have him sign my Mutants & Masterminds and Freedom City books. I for one am really looking forward to Origins this year.

I don't have XCrawl so making a character for that might be difficult :D

Green Ronisn will be there in full force I hear. I want to sign up for a few M&M games...need to do that.
