Origins: Questions and Who's Going?

I did find that there were deals at different times during the Con, so you might be right. Troll and Toad (i think it was them) for instance last year on Saturday started selling some plushs for about $3 each - I picked up some rather neat little cthulhu things during that sale.

Places have done stuff like that. The half price booth went to $5 and softcover and $10 a hard cover and the $5 booth went down to $3 for a book. It all depends on where you are shopping and what you are shopping for.

Crazy Egor said this year he was having a large booth to support Origins since he feels Gen Con was treating publishers badly. I'm eager to see what all he has. :D

OMG. I am running a Con Game at Origins. My first con game. With a system I've never played. WHOO BOY. :D

What are you running?

I'll be there again this year. Evil Hat seems to have most of the stuff I want to play :) Disappointed that it looks like the D&D stuff will just be the usual LFR RPGA modules and no Ultimate Delve, the highlight of last year's con for me.

I am attending Origins for the first time this year, and I made some tough choices. I am staying at the Red Roof Inn North Columbus (about 8 miles away from the con) so I think that I have to try to get in early in order to park. In doing this, however, my nightly rate drops from $140 down to $40, plus $14 in parking. I can take that.

I am very happy with the selection of food around the area. I plan on hitting a sushi place, a good deli, and more. I am solo, so I don't plan on going to Mongolian BBQ or anything like that. Comfest is also happening that weekend, so I plan on going down and seeing some music and hippies. That will be fun, too.

Since this is my first time, I am playing a few games that I know I will love as well as some that I want to try out. I am playing 2 DND 4e LFR slots, 2 Dresden Files RPG slots, Munchkin, Munchkin Quest, Zombie Dice, and Are You The Werewolf? Please check out my schedule that I posted on my TwitPic account and let me know if I am playing any games with you. Oh, and I will have a Board Room Ribbon also.

Finally, I am going to be using Twitter with the hashtag #Origins2010 during the con. I think that's the appropriate one to use, what do you think?

See you all there!

Just a few more days till Origins. I'm off from work now till next week and enjoying paid vacation to go to a gaming Con. It just makes it feel so much better that way! :D
