Origins

This years origins will be my first major convention. I won an invitation to the Mechwarrior National Championships. I am looking forward to playing some RPGs aw well.

oddly enough, i will be in cincinatti from June 39th - July 2nd, attending a fellow gamer couple's wedding. i had heard that they planned it around Origins. however, i suspect my family and i will be way too busy to go to a game con. especially if i want to be able to get my wife to go to gencon a month later.

How long are you staying? If you are around Sunday afternoon evening I got an cookout you might like.

Yeah, we'll be there through Monday as usual. I'm typically pretty worn out by then, but I'm game for a cookout if time permits. Origins is my "vacation con" where I enjoy myself rather than worrying so much about schmoozing, so I'm up for hanging out. Seems like the only person I ever really run into is HellHound, so I'll pencil it in!

Looking forward to it. I'm taking my 6-year old son and he's really excited. I have been to numerous GenCons, but this is my first Origins.

I will be there and am up for a gamer dinner this year. I missed last year's dinner because I got sick.

Wow, Origns pre regs are up 20%. They have over 4000 games, seminars, and other things. Anyone know how many events Gen Con has? I always wonder how much bigger they are.
