Infinium Labs of Tampa Bay, Florida, has recently (1/21) announced that their new console system, the Phantom, will be released in North America come November.
According to Infinium Labs, the Phantom is an "always on broadband device" with capabilities beyond those of currently existing console systems. No specifications have been released so far however.
Among the list of key features for the Phantom is cross platform capability. What platforms are unknown, but this seems to be the explanation for a statement made by Infinium that there are already more than 33,000 games currently available that will play on the Phantom.
Infinium is currently hoping to unveil more about the system come March. For more information, see this article on Gamespot: http://gamespot.com/gamespot/stories/news/0,10870,2909314,00.html or the Infinium Labs homepage: http://www.infiniumlabs.com/
