Best of luck with quitting!

JUMP UP AND DOWN WHEN YOU SAY IT!

i told my wife- "i will nver be one of those irritating anti-smoking ex-smokers" LOL

i have met the enemy and it is a hypocritical potter!

as for the clay project, nothing from any ENworlders yet.

but i did just finish the die for auroragyps lamp project :)

Actually I've never smoked...but I was being cheesy just for fun. Seriously, best of luck.

BTW, two friends of mine both quit smoking during rehearsals for the end of year show at drama school...after three days of extra-bitchy-nastiness, complaints of 'needing a bleedin' fag NOW!' and so forth, the Director begged them to start smoking again, just to calm everybody else down...:p

Good show! You have every right to feel good about yourself... keep up the good work.

Mods: Sorry bout not puttin the OT in the subject line... Thank you Grazzt!

Darn straight - it worked just perfectly for me! :p

Anyway...
Stopping smoking is hard, I know; my parents (well, mother and stepfather, actually; my actual dad never started) did so over time, but it wasn't easy.
And some of my friends are still fighting to finally manage it...

So hats off to anyone who manages to "kick the habit," as it were. And the best to all who are still struggling. :)

... I see. Just what kind of "Drama School" do you attend??

In England, fag is slang for cigarette, and has been for a long, long time. :)

tomorrow is 1 week. i took the advice of a tacky manual and chose to "announce to friends and associates my choice to quit"

i got all the support i would have expected and more.

thanks to everyone who sent a kind word, those who are still trying or choose to try in the future, i am there for you.

Keep at it there, alsih2o, it's always good to see someone kick the habit.

I second what d20Dwarf just said. A dear friend of mine just quit after smoking for more than 40 years. If she can do it so can you!
