Or more, here in South Carolina there seems to be a difference between folks in the lowcountry and those upstate. Furthermore true native Charlstonians actually have their own unique speech mannerisms and behavior patterns. We also have the distinct Gullah population, decendants of former slaves. Many areas of the country have notable Native Indian populations.
Very generally speaking, it is fairly easy to spot someone who hails from another part of the country. They usually set themselves apart by their speech, mannerisms, dress and lol the way they drive.

The one thing everyone can agree on is that America is a land of great diversity in both landscape and people.
