[OT] Anyone else concerned about the number of CRPGs coming out this year?

Icewind Dale II, Dungeon Siege, Morrowind, Neverwinter Nights. My god. I don't think I'll be getting out nearly as much as I should this summer. It's going to be an amazing year for gaming. (And I didn't even mention CoC which looks fantastic.)

This doesn't trouble me at all. I will probably buy Morrowind to tide me over until NWN comes out. NWNs is the game I have been waiting close to three years for. Dungeon Seige looks interesting but more of an action game than RP. If Morrowind doesn't pan-out (not likely form what I've seen), I may buy DS.

Some of the titles you listed I have some misgivings about, mostly misgivings that they'll be out in time for summer. The idea that they are going to completely retool Icewind Dale II for 3E and still have it out by the end of May!?!? Maybe the people that did PoR:RoMD were just idiots, but retooling their game for 3E ended up taking all sorts of extra time and resulted in a game with very limited implementation and lots of bugs.

Yes...I really...really...want this game. I ordered the collectors edition direct from Bethdesta so I hope it comes quick....release release release.....

I'm also anticipating Jedi Knight II (not an RPG of course).

Normally I would agree but the game looks fabulous enough to make up for it.

Myself, I'm more concerned* about the amount of non-C RPG books coming out this year. In the next month or so alone, I'll have to buy three hardcovers**, possibly among other books.

Not interested in DS (Diablo 3?) or IWD2 (let the Infintiy engine die. that and I used a 2E/3E rules amalgomation 2 years ago, but not anymore).

Morrowind looks very cool. I liked Daggerfall, in all it's buggy and way-too-wide-open glory. It'll do until...

Icewind Dale 2 is no longer 2e/3e. It is purely 3rd Edition.

Yep which is why I'll buy it. Honestly, I hated Icewind Dale. Compared to Baldurs Gate 2 (which was a godsend of a crpg) it was boring, hack and slash, dreary crap. But from everything I've read, IWD2 will be more story and quest oriented. And though the IE is an oldie, its a goodie and it will be cool to see it ported to 3E rules.
