My job hunting advice:
Ask at city hall if they're hiring. They rarely advertise positions.
Register at a temp agency or two. My mom recently got a permanent position at a company she'd worked for as a temp. You have to call them every day, as early as possible, but eventually you'll get calls. It can be a good way to get exposure to different companies.
