(OT) Auroragyps Lamp Project... Dice Donations Welcome

Just branching the die lamp stuff off my "I'm Back..." thread. What is the Auroragyps Lamp Project? It's asking the good and kind people here at ENWorld, people that have been nicer to me than most of my IRL "friends" have been, if they will donate a die for me to put in a clear glass lamp I have. That way I'll have a really special lamp and a cool conversation piece. I can't pay S&H, but within the US, I die ishipped in a small bubble envelope is less than $1. So far I have 16 coming from Europe and North America and I'd love see if more people join in on my weird little project.
So, if you want to send a die, post here, and I'll send an e-mail w/ my snail-mail address. And thanks to all that have joined or do join the Project.

Someone asked about color preference. I my favs are green & purple, but any other colored dice are appreciated.

i have often thought several of the die forms would make good lamp bases if enlarged, maybe not a d20(not in a house with kids, or my dogs) but a giant d4,6,8 or 12 wouldn't necessarily stand out so obviously, except for those who were familiar with the shape and caught the #'s

Another WOW!

I have to tell you guys that I'm so thrilled by the responses I'm getting. While I read the three e-mail regarding this, I actually cried. The cat looked at me like, "not again," and I had to tell her that they were happy tears... we don't get many of those around here these days. I'm gonna bump this thread for a week so people notice it and see if more people join up during that time.

Well, here I am, and I sure would be interested in a handmade die. I love handmade crafts, I'm into beading and other stuff myself, so that would be very, very cool.

I'll have a couple more e-mails to send out tonight. And
everybody think good thoughts... I have an appointment with a vocational service tomorrow and hopefully I find out about other agencies I can get help from and get on the right track to finding a job.

i could also try to send some articles on making beads, more easily and better, thru clay techniques if you are interested?
