[OT] Best Ebay auction ever...

I don't think "U r bidding on the oppritunity to buy me one of these players, not urself. so don't expect to recieve one." would stand up in court, but I'm not a lawyer, so thats out of complete ignorance on my part.

This guy should hook up with the woman who had the website were people could help her pay off her credit cards. Their child would never have to pay for anything in its life.

No way that would hold up in a court. The only thing is by not completing the auction, you're in violation of eBays TOS. But, I doubt eBay would honor such insanity. Has anyone tried contacting the winner and warning him/her?

Read the feedback on the guy who "won" the auction. He's no prize either.

No, he's not. Which suggests this might be the same guy (or two guys working together), and this whole thing was really about boosting the ratings of the two eBay identities.

Clangador, the auction ended over two months ago. So I suspect this has been resolved one way or another. (Maybe email24hr sent him the money and the item ... yeah, right!)

Chun-tzu, neither of them left the other feedback ... this whole thing is just weird. Probably just a prank auction.

Best e-bay auction I ever saw was back during the PS2 rollout - when they were going for $600 each on ebay.

Some guy was selling the box his PS2 came in. If you actually read the description, it was still kind of iffy, but it would have held up - the phrasing was just right.
