[QUOTE="Leopold, post: 489335, member: 758"] [rant] i for one am a die hard packer fan that LIVES in tampa bay. I can attest to the call as it was LEGAL but totally uncalled for. Sherman had EVERY right to come over and tell sapp what he thought of that play. Here is Clifton standing there 35yds from the ball walking over to the sidelines and here comes Sapp barrelling in like a MAC truck into him. Not only does he flatten him (the ball was still in play) he THEN stands up and gloats and celebrates over the fallen and barely concious, non-moving body of clifton who then gets carted off the field. THAT my good people is NOT how to play football. The hit was legal, sherman was pointing out that it was totally uncalled for celebrating like a roman gladiator over someone. Sapp's a <space left intentionally blank for eric's Grandma> and I hope the league fines him heavily for the ridiculous attitude and unsportsmanlike conduct that he showed in the game. That was NOT football at it's finest but at it's worst. [/rant] as for Favre (Fah*vuh*ray) he had an off day, the look in his eyes shows he wasn't up to the game. In the end he throws Roger clemens fastballs that Neither jerry rice, donnie driver, nor terrell owens could have had ANY chance in HELL of catching. He tries too hard to win and that is his downfall.. Favre will retire when he's ready to go and when he doesn't feel like playing anymore, he's a class act and footbal will be a sadder place when he is gone but always will be remembered as a man who has the heart for this game rather than the pocketbook...
