[OT] Buffy the Vampire Slayer RPG (Non-D20)

Willow's comp skills would be best describes as a few levels of Expert. Rogue does not make sense at all.

Xander would be mostly commoner...he doesn't improve very quickly...He would have a level or two or warrier or fighter from being soldierboy Xander.

Well, yeah..I guess everybody would start with a level or so in commoner, and then build from there. I *do* like the use of NPC classes.

So you don't think it's really all that possible (or maybe feasible?)to build these guys with the standard "adventurer" classes? What about a wizard with some funky cross-class skills in computer use and a couple Skill Focus feats?

As for Shadow Chasers, it seems pretty far removed from the d20 we've come to know and love over the past few years. Is there a sorcerer-type PrC (in case I wanted to split Willow's levels 50/50, for instance)?

Nope, it uses the D20 modern classes (being where D20 modern was first introduced).

So the basic classes are

The Charismatic Hero
The Dedicated Hero
The Fast Hero
The Smart Hero
The Strong Hero

I think they have since introduced a Con based basic class, but it wasn't in the magazine.

The Prestige Classes are

The Mage
The Mentor
The Shadow Slayer
The Solider
The Thief

It uses other mechanics alien to D&D.

That's it? With so few base classes, I figured there would be a much bigger selection of PrCs to further customize one's PC. Was this just a preview, or the whole deal?

I think Eden is trying to get this game ready for Origins, so...that's a July release date.

We will have a preview of the book at Origins, but the final product will be shipping around mid-July.

If you are going to Origins, stop by and preview the book.

Will you send the preorders from your website by mid July too?
