Wow, are you guys in the States getting ripped off...

Through Shaw Cable I pay:

37.95/mo CAD

and regularly achieve 500kb/s download speeds and sometimes achieve as high as 1.5Mb/s late at night. I can download 10 GB before getting my hand spanked. Upload is slower at 200Kb/s, but that is OK by me.

This is in Edmonton, AB, Canada and when you figure in the exchange rate, I pay:

23.50/mo.

Just ran a test at DSL reports the other night and it showed me as dl'ing about 1Mbps while uploading is capped at 128kbps.

I use AT&T broadband (cable), and pay $120/month BUT that includes my local phone service and digital cable with all the premium channels. If I had to try and break out just the modem price, I'd guess about $30/month.

Upload is capped at 128k, but download speed isn't capped as far as I can tell. No limit on data amounts.

Same as Meepo. But am on the introductory 25 or something like that for the first 3 months. Location: I used to live in hamland but moved to Chicago area, IL

High Speed Light, price is 24.95$CAN, up to 128 Kbps download and 64 Kbps upload. And no webspace is provided.

High Speed: up to 1.5 Mbps download, 192 Kbps upload, with no limits on total downloads (no XXX gigs/month). 70MB of webspace.

Yes, but we don't get our hand spanked for downloading too much.

10 GB. pah. I could download that much per day, if I really needed that much porn.
