I'm going to have to say I don't believe in this and I don't incorporate it into my game...

I would've taken the time to consider it had the person actually said what his theory was instead of saying that people are evil and spreading ignorance

I wouldn't mind incorporating people like Gene Ray into my game, with theories like this and such, just to see what my players think of this "theory".

Personally, I don't believe in this. I agree with you DerianCypher. He claims he is the wisest person in the world, yet he appears to be some narrow-minded that he chooses to offend people rather than make his theory seem appealing. I've taken marketing classes, and it doesn't take a marketing class to know that's not how you get people to follow you. Such morally and psychologically demeaning comments seem more characteristic of a cult than a theory of everything, which isn't good for publicity. But this guy has a lot of followers, and he plans to write the prequel to Orwell's 1984, inferencing his own ideals in the book.

Anyways, I'm still curious.

Cheers!

I don't like it because it's supposed to be a scientific theory and that's not how you present a theory.

You present it and your evidence and try to defend it against criticisms using research and such. You don't belittle those criticising the theory.

Having not bothered to read past the first thing I thought was a theory, in which Our Hero attempts to tell you that the sun rises four times because of something to do with the right angles to the Greenwich Meridian, I've decided that I won't believe this man. If I'm evil, then sobeit, back to D&D I guess.

I almost tried to take it seriously, too... but where Hybrid makes you feel dumb by assuming you know what it's on about, Timecube makes me feel smart by calling me names without anything to back it up. If there's any truth buried in that mound of steaming vitriolic crap, the guy's welcome to it, because he's going to be the only one on the Path of the Righteous.

Maybe that's the point... maybe all we 'evil dumbasses' are purposefully being turned off because there's only so much Truth to go around and he's NOT TELLING US! Argh! Conspiracy!

Time Cube

I was wondering if anyone believed in this.

Well, I believe in the soul. (edit ;) ) The small of a woman's back. The hanging curveball. High fiber. Good scotch. That the novels of Susan Sontag are self-indulgent, overrated crap. I believe Lee Harvey Oswald acted alone. I believe there ought to be a Constitution Amendment outlawing Astroturf and the designated hitter. I believe in the sweet spot, soft-core pornography, opening your presents Christmas morning rather than Christmas eve. And I believe in long, slow, deep, soft, wet kisses that last three days...Goodnight. - Credo of Crash Davis (written by Ron Shelton)

Beliving in a thing has very little to do with whether or not you include it in a game. I doubt that many folks here believe in Pelor, but the deity shows up in lots of games.

And who ever taught you that good marketing has anything to do with being right? :D
