I mean, why did her story get so much press in relation to other similar stories?

Were you asleep last summer? The slow news period was filled with every apparent kidnapping case - she was one of just many.

Nevermind that kidnappings were down last yet..

As for the waste of air that kidnapped this little girl- public hanging seems appropriate.

I recommend corporal punishment instead of capital punishment, preferably of the "cruel and unusual" kind.

For example, tie a couple of sausages to his private and let a pack of hungry doberman go at it.

Stick his head in a tank of piranha for 1 minute, repeat every 5 minutes.

Tie his arms and legs with rope attached to four horses and have a tug of war.

You are right though, we had two missing black girls from Chicago last year and they did not get nearly the press of similar cases where middleclass white children went missing.

Do you mean the Bradley girls? I believe they disappeared two years ago- a year before the Smart girl. They got some decent press- I recall seeing them mentioned on Fox News and America's Most Wanted. Of course, they did not disappear during the media craze for kidnappings.

You may be thinking of the Patter girl from Milwaukee- she disappeared around the same time as the Smart girl, iirc. She did get a lot of press, but not as much nationally as the Smart girl. I would not know the reason- but I would suspect it comes from the resources of the parents to keep it in the news.

That is how they caught the walking piece of dung that kidnapped Smart- media reports of him led to a couple of people reporting him.

It is a shame, that as far as I know, neither the Patters girl or the Bradley girls were ever found.

You must be well loved in Hawaii.

Torture is unneeded. The world just needs him removed in a quick way so he can not do harm to anyone else. I believe it would be best served to do it publically- as a warning flag to other pieces of dung.
