What??? cant talk about the soltice? what nonsense. Anyway as for the naked part yea it's only true for some but not all pagans. Anymore there are alot that feel it's wrong to do so. What is this world coming to?

Ahh, the longest day of the year.... what fun.
Angelsboi, I think he was asking why it was called Midsummer's Eve if it's the first day of summer. Logicly Midsummer would be somewhere in August would it not?

I've been a bad pagan. I didnt prepared for today.Bad Nightstorm!!

Tsk, tsk - you forgot to mail out your Hallmark "Thinking of you on this very special solstice" cards, didn't you? Nor, I suspect, did you leave out milk and cookies for the goddess. Sigh...pagans...

Today happens to be the day that day and night are equal.
I'm sure something's got lost in the translation and you don't really mean what you seem to be saying. Day and night on a solstice are not equal. That happens at an equinox.

As an aside, in Australia summer starts on the 1st of December and winter on the 1st of June instead of on the summer and winter solstices.

oh shes fine. Thank the god/goddess work kept her 45 minutes late!!

They are still looking into it since it was a hit and run. The entire drivers side is smashed in.

I was VERY thankful!!

However, it USED to be Midsummers; it was a later change to the calendar that moved the first day of summer to the longest day of the year to the "first day of summer"...
