There was something in a magazine some time ago about how the army/police was looking into sound based weapons to provide a harmless way to take down a foe.

Now if I can prove it is happening at work. :)

this may be apocryphal, but i heard the army/police were working on a sonic-based weapon that would make people lose control of their bowels. now that's an effective crowd control weapon! ;)

"We're angry! We're rioting! We're not going to take it anymore! ..... We're going to go home and change our pants now..."

and more at http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/2309505.stm

"Blue whales are also known to use infrasonic waves to communicate.
Low frequency sound waves travel huge distances in water, allowing the whales keep in touch over hundreds, if not thousands, of kilometres... Some whales are also thought to use huge bursts of infrasound to stun the mysterious giant squid, which have never been seen alive in their natural habitat, before devouring them."

Sounds like a Special Attack based on a modified version of the Sound Burst spell is in order; Infrasound (Sp), anyone? Or perhaps Lesser Infrasound, Infrasound, and Greater Infrasound spells. Okay...both ;)

Infrasound looks cool. I can imagin in a few years you could put it in a little "box" and carrie it around when you tell ghost stories, or on halloween.
