[OT] Interested in an Enworld Fantasy Football league?

Are we talking *true* football, as in "soccer"? (shudders at using that word)

Or are you referring to that babies game wherein jocks get plate-mailed up just to play a quick game of chase?

I'd like to see you block a 370 lb lineman without the aid of "platemail."

At least in our version of football, the score ends up being something more exciting than a 1-1 tie.

Heavens forbid we enjoy watching a game which is nothing if not a miniature war, two armies clashing on the field, generals relaying tactics to their soldiers, struggling for every last yard...as opposed to a bunch of ninnys in shorts.

I think the European/South American obsession with soccer is simply because you haven't been exposed to anything else.

It's head to head and I left it at default settings. Offline draft.
If all ten slots are taken, maybe some other leagues will open.

Ah, you do realise that England, at least, has two other football codes besides soccor. And both of those do involve blocking large, heavy men.

I've seen gridiron. I appreciate it as a sport. But realistically, it's just not barbaric enough
