So how is he going to learn from his mistake if he still is going to profit regardless?</p><p></p><p>Most disappointed fanboys know this, so any crusade they feel like taking (such as boycotting) feels like a hopeless one. They think to themselves, "I can boycott this movie entirely as a protest to Ep1, but what's the point? George is still going to make tons of cash. My boycott is going to mean diddly squat." So with that mentality, the go to , "Ah heck, since I can't make a difference anyways, I might as well go see it I guess. It might be good........"</p><p></p><p>So yeah you're right, that is funny. Its that lack of discipline to carry out your protest. The "Force" is powerful indeed eh?</p><p></p><p>So for those of you who can't resist the 'pull' but yet still want to make a protest against Ep1's poor quality, 'boycotting the first week' is a compromise. The other fans that are boycotting the film altogether (never seeing until maybe on video) are very very rare. They know they can't convince even others that have felt the same way about Ep1 to boycott entirely like them. So they would settle on them at least boycotting the first week. At least that way .....maybe, just maybe......George will show up to his office on Monday morning after the first weekend and get his 'first weekend' ticket sales report and notice that its almost half that of 'Phantom Menace'. We're hoping that'll make him flinch a bit. The slap on the back of his hand disappointed fans wanted to give George for so long. Because that's the only small thing we seem to be able to do. Star Wars is a juggernaut, our puny spears will do nothing to it. But hey.....a small victory is better than none eh?</p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p></p><p>Uhm....I don't don't see how that is a cool line. <shrug> But I'll agree with the other ones you've listed.
