OT: New Year's "Resolutions"

I usually don't make them, because if I don't follow through I feel like a failure. But, this year, I decided to make some that I felt I could actually keep: fun things I keep meaning to do but never find the time. I came up with eight:

1. Work on my web sites. The damn things haven't been updated since APRIL.

2. Actually paint some of the minis I bought this last year.

3. Stay in character during game sessions.

4. Look for new music.

5. Write.

6. Pay more attention to my dog.

7. Finish Balder's Gate 2 (finally).

8. And most importantly, stop with the cynicism. I keep confusing being a "realist" with being cynical. I'm done with that. And no more pessimism, either.

So, what are YOUR resolutions?

I'm willing to bet that the guys I game with are hoping that my New Year's Resolution will be to quiet down, and talk in hushed tones...probably not going to happen!

A few of my New Year's Resolutions include:

1. Writing more often (catching up on my story hour, and taking time to write the other stories and such that have been brewing in my head).

2. Staying in character (this I actually stole from eris404...it's a great resolution!!)

3. Maybe, just maybe, turning my volume down...just a little. (i've actually met a few people who have said they could never picture me being loud or angry...heh...go figure...)

4. To stick with the gym and watch what I eat more. (gotta fit into that Wonder Woman costume by October!)

1. Finally get around to writing some D20 material
2. Pay more attention to schoolwork
3. Read the Bhagavad-Gita (Hindu religious text)
4. Learn more about computers
5. Give Linux a try

dream the impossible dream...

It's my resolution for 2003 to train harder and commit to my coach's programme aimed at helping me qualify for the 2008 Olympics...

don't have time for any other resolutions if I stick to that one...

I'll probably try and give up smoking, drinking and sleeping around...

All three of wich will probably last until the 2nd of January.

As for a gaming resolution, I promise to have greater focus for the plots of my games on all of the characters, giving them each an equal chance to shine in the spotlight.

1. Get together a working RL D&D group.
2. Get some writing done.
3. Finish my world map.
4. Make a globe of my world.
5. Get a job before summer.

Those are pretty much my goals for this next year.
