(OT) PayPal trouble question

I thought Paypal was GREAT! It was NICE and SIMPLE and CONVENIENT.
THEN some
somehow got into my paypal account and transfered several HUNDRED dollars from my CHECKING ACCOUNT into his.
It took me WEEKS to get the issue resolved. Paypal insisted they had refunded my money, and I had to have my BANK call them and hassle them with proof that no transfer attempts had been made to my account.
It was my misfortune that I had registered my CHECK CARD with Paypal as opposed to my credit card. I had to change my bank account and everything.
I didn't even USE paypal very often, and I certainly wasn't a vendor.
As far as I can tell, Paypal has little to NO security whatsoever. I never gave out my passwords or account name, and someone managed to hack into it somehow. I give anyone who even HAS an account full warning. I hadn't used my account in 8 months when this happened.

Say, maybe I should go and try to resolve my Paypal account again so they'll unfreeze it ...
