I just thought I would pass this along. It seems Office Max is having a Friends and Family sale today. I'm not sure if you need the flyer or not, some people have reported Office Max having the flyer out in the stores.

Ok, the deal. Office Max has the Minolta 1250W for $99 out the door. This is a pretty good deal for a printer and you are looking at about .03 a page, which isn't bad. I thought I would pass this along since every few weeks people post about printing PDFs and I'm sure someone here will find this a hot deal.

How much do toner cartridges cost compared to ink cartridge? Is it significantly more?

a new toner cartridge for a laser will cost significantly more than new ink cartridges for an inkjet; however, it will last far longer. A monocrome laser is way cheaper to operate than an inkjet.

I believe $80(3,000 yeild) for the toner and $110(20,000 yeild) for the drum. It works out to about $.03 a page. If you have a REALLY nice inkjet you might get close to this for your ink, but most of us usually own sub $100 printers and you are looking at about $.15 a page or more. Some of the older Lexmark's were like .25 a page!!
