I was thinking about getting it from Talon, but in the end I decided on a UK website for one, and one reason only in the end: The shipping and Duty. The fact is, it wasn't until AFTER I had ordered my stuff that I noticed this thread and started watching it. Now, still being a prospective customer the question is: has this thread, and Derek's recent troubles, given him a "bad reputation" in my mind. The answer is no. It is unfortunate that some people had a bad experience, but hey let's be realistic about the situation. If Derek was out sacrificing babies, then MAYBE that would give him a bad reputation in my eyes after how he has behaved both as a person and professionally before the unfortunate recent events. But since that doesn't seem to be the case I will keep my ear to the ground and wait for the troubles to pass over and then re-evaluate the Talon situation at that time and hey, maybe the duty isn't that bad (I have yet to ask Horacio on the matter).
