[OT][Share the Love] Placing an order, want a discount?

I'm taking a big plunge into D&D, SWRPG, and a little bit into GURPS. Saw how people (myself included) jumped at a chance of a nice discount on the core rulebooks, so thought I'd offer the same.

So, if you're interested in getting an additional 10% discount on any of the following, please post your email address (munged as much as you want, as long as I can figure it out).

Core Supplements
Stronghold Builder's Guidebook (Dungeons & Dragons Accessory) - Matt Forbeck, David Noonan

Psionics Handbook (Dungeons & Dragons Supplement) - Bruce R. Cordell

Deities and Demigods (Dungeons & Dragons Supplement) - Rich Redman, et al

Manual of the Planes (Dungeons & Dragons Supplement) - Jeff Grubb, et al

Savage Species: Playing Monstrous Characters (Dungeons & Dragons Supplement) - David Eckelberry, et al

Greyhawk
Living Greyhawk Gazetteer (Dungeons & Drangons: Living Greyhawk Campaign) - Erik Mona (Editor), et al

Forgotten Realms
Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting (Dungeons & Dragons) - Ed Greenwood, et al

Magic of Faerun (Dungeons & Dragons: Forgotten Realms Campaign Accessory) - Sean K. Reynolds, et al

Monster Compendium: Monsters of Faerun - James Wyatt, et al

Races of Faerun - Sean Reynolds (Author), et al

Faiths and Pantheons (Dungeons & Dragons: Forgotten Realms, Campaign Accessory) - Erik Mona, Eric L. Boyd

City of the Spider Queen (Forgotten Realms Game Adventure) - James Wyatt, et al

Silver Marches (Dungeons & Dragons: Forgotten Realms, Campaign Accessory) - Ed Greenwood, Jason Carl

Kalamar

Kingdoms of Kalamar: Player's Guide (Dungeons & Dragons, Rulebook IV) - Lloyd Brown III, et al

Star Wars RPG
Hero's Guide (Star Wars Roleplaying Game) - J. D. Wiker, Rodney Thompson

*****************************************

In addition, if demand is high enough, I'd be willing to add the following to my order:

DragonLance: Age of Mortals

Book of Vile Darkness

Book of Exalted Deeds

Epic Level Handbook

Forgotten Realms: Underdark

Fiend Folio

Monster Manual II

*****************************************

I'm hoping to be able to purchase the Adventure Path series of modules, the five splatbooks, and the Draconicom with any credits I receive from this deal. Anyone I send the "Share the Love" to, if they order within the next 7 days, will receive 10% off the item (for example, on a $30 item, they will receive $3 off). That discount ($3 in my example) will then be given to me, as well.

So, except for the Kalamar stuff, everything starts out 30% off. Get another 10% off (so now 37% off), and it's even better.

I plan on placing this order on the 19th (after my credit card statement, of course... :) ), so y'all have a week to leave email addresses.

It would be interesting to start up a continuing ENWorld share the love list, for when one of us buys a RPG. There have been numerous threads like this one over the past year, and it would be nice to set up a continuous database for those interested in regular offers.

As for your selection of books... I should point out that WotC will be publishing a 3.5 revised version of the Psionics Handbook within a year, and some of the splatbooks might become obsolete once The Complete Warrior and other 3.5 books come out.

You, sir, deserve an award from the RPG industry for not only supporting the business, but spreading the love! At the very least, WoTC should sent you a nice thank you note. :)

Nah, that's not a lot of money, Ed. (No offense, Trivial! :) )

There are people who order that much in a month. If I had the money (c'mon, Lottery!), so would I.

I wonder if Amazon offers discounts on the (insert blank) & (insert blank) racebook stuff? I'm interested in getting the whole "Hammer & Helm: Dwarves" and "Stealth & Poison: Drow" (doubt those are the actual names, and don't know who does 'em), at least with regard to PC races...

Sadly, no, Michael Tree.

I'm already spending almost $500 there. Toss in the seven other books, and we're looking at $625.

Considering I take home about $1,200 a month (contract work while waiting for a pseudo-dream-job to open up; temp work on top of that might provide up to another $400, but that's not definite), that's a sizeable portion of my not-so-disposable income. :(

So those are the ones I definitely want in my collection, and I'm hoping to get some help in acquiring them. I'm hoping on at least 25 "hits" on the 30-odd items I've listed as definitely ordering (that's about $50 in gift certificates to me, plus other people will be saving 10% on the items they get from this "Share the Love").

The "possibles," I'll order if I can get at least 12 requests for each one, since they aren't as important to me at this time...

Maybe someone else will offer?

Do you get some sort of a discount on these books? I know the program gives a 10% discount when a referral buys it, too, but do you get a bigger one if you have more people buy the same books as you?

No. You only get one credit per book, regardless of the number of buddies who buy it off of your reference. You also have only 30 days to use your credits.

I would also like to note that while I have always gotten the 10% for receiving the love, I have never gotten the credit for giving the love. The same is true for a friend of mine.

No moral to the story. Just my experience.
