I heard this as well, but the word itself is derived from the dutch 'fokken' - to breed (as in cattle), but might still have something to do with the F.U.C.K. story, if not just in terms of spelling.

This one's got more stories going around than you can "poke a stick at" (tangent: where's that one come from?)

Among the favourites is that it derives from the English legal system and is an acronym of For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge.

The best etymology (sp?) that I know says that the word is probably anglo-saxon and has been in the English language since before the Normans invaded Britain.
