[OT] Sonic X + Sonic Underground

Has anyone heard of some new anime in japan called Sonic X?

Or an older cartoon here in the states called Sonic Underground.

The Sonic Underground one had the same animation as the "ABC" cartoon and still had Jaleel White's voice.

I haven't seen much of Sonic Underground, but I'm a pretty big fan of Sonic X (curse the networks for putting it on TV Tokyo, which is cable for me).

I posted a thread about that anime over in the Fantasy & Sci-Fi Books, Movies & TV forum. Basically, it mentions that fansubbed downloads of Sonic X are slowly being released over at www.sonicanime.net/episodes.html

Well, I'm not sure if they were released on tapes or DVDs or not. This petition would seem to indicate not. I'm not sure if this sale is 100% above board or not, but I don't see the harm in someone selling off their personal recordings of the show, since there is no domestic release. I could be wrong though (and if so, mods, go ahead and clip that link).

That's Sonic Adventure 2: Battle to you. Seriously though, while it does have Rouge and Shadow, that doesn't necessarily make it based off that game (at least, not that game alone). Case in point: Cream and Cheese, who are exclusively from Sonic Advance 2 are also there, as is Big the Cat, from Sonic Adventure and the upcoming Sonic Adventure DX.

wow, i really hope Cartoon Network picks it up for next year.

This does seem like something they'd showcase, doesn't it? I have no idea if a year is a realistic time to get it all edited and dubbed though.

It only took them a few months for Digimon to be edited before fox put it up

Hope springs eternal then that Sonic X will arrive similarly quickly.
