[OT] Stupidity must intensify when the moon is full

per farmersalmanac.com, July 13th is the Full Buck Moon.

" July is normally the month when the new antlers of buck deer push out of their foreheads in coatings of velvety fur. It was also often called the Full Thunder Moon, for the reason that thunderstorms are most frequent during this time. Another name for this month's Moon was the Full Hay Moon. "

If you don't have scientific evidence, then you don't know it. The human mind is very good at seeing patterns. It so much wants to see patterns that it will even make them up. What you percieve to be may not actually be the case.

Thank you.

Arghghghghg what does the full moon do people?? I know technically the it won't be a full moon till 7-13 but it is awfully close. I work 3rd shift at a computer helpdesk, so I get some strange calls BUT when there is a full moon, somebody opened the gates of Stupid and let the peasants roam free.

Wow there are still folks with English as their first language staffing help desks?!?!

My wife is a social worker/therapist, and while currently she has a day job doing therapy for school-aged kids, in the past, she has worked with agencies that dealt with adoptions, and foster kids, which meant she carried a rotating pager occasionally in case there were issues with the kids in group homes, or foster homes. None of the social workers in these places wanted the pager during a week with a full moon, because they all knew bad things were going to happen during the full moon, and usually always did.

Last night we were driving back home (from playing D&D!) and it was about 1:00 am. We drove into town, and were a full blocks from our house, on the main street in our town, and there was this guy standing out on the sidewalk, in front of a small trailer park (kind of an eyesore in our town, actually), and was standing there wearing a red satin bra, and had cut-off jean shorts that he had partially unzipped in a provocative "come-hither" fashion. Now, for those that live in the big city, this may not seem like a big deal, and I've seen loonies like this in large cities (Austin comes to mind) but I live in a suburb of a suburb of Kansas City (Spring Hill, for those that care), and this town has a whopping population of like 3,000 people or so. So this was quite a sight. Did I mention the guy wore a full beard? No, well, it was an image that won't be leaving my retina anytime soon, I can assure you.

In fact, we had to turn around and drive by just to see it again. This time, he waved at us, and my wife swore she saw pubes since the guy had his shorts pulled down far enough.

That's just sick! I mean a red satin bra with jean shorts? Come on, black maybe, purple okay, but red?! Where are those five queer guys on that new tv show when you need them? :p

Makes you wonder what he had been drinking or what type of bet he lost.

Hey, if it was closer to the 4th of July and with him in the red bra, you could have tried to find some sparklers for him. I love people who are patriotic. ;)

When the moon is full, my neighbors get a bit quieter than their ususal obnoxiously loud selves, so I don't complain...much.
