I must admit I don't keep up with my foreign politics (my home politics are confusing enough). Regardless, it is a sad day when a political personage is killed.
I hope things settle out smoothly. It took a lot less time to find him than I thought it might. Thogh the article gives no motivation for the killer it does say that the Euro contreversy was not part of it.
I know wish one always gets trotted out as the source of all evil on these boards. I which[b/] it were true, I'd have more fun. (oh, and the Hive does talk games more than one might think, it pretty much embodies General RPG Discussion- meaning random talk about games of all sorts.)
Actually, I'd love to suggest that anytime someone wants to discuss something widly off topic to bring it to the Hive, unfortunatly that would mean a large precentage of the boards would not admit to reading it.
I don't consider this any more off topic than any OT thread, and even if it were these boards are populated by quite a few Swedes, who have a right to discuss their loss with a bit of respect. Interest in ones nation is not necessarily political, and were the same to happen in our country (the U.S.), though a notable few would rejoice in bad taste, many more would feel the country had suffered a great loss - not because Bush is a great man, nor a great President, but because the office of the president, a symbol of our country had been lost.
I have limited knowledge of Prime Minister Lindh, but understand what she meant to her country. It is indeed a sad time for Sweden, and hope that her accomplishments and career will be remembered accordingly.
