[OT] Thank You Thalmin

Just Pay It Forward. :D

That movie made me want to hurt people, not help them. Specifically, the makers of that film.

Thalmin: I swear, I had my credit card out when I saw Angelsboi talking about how he wanted to be a community supporter, ready to click on the link to RPGNow, when I saw "Angel" magically appear under his username. You work fast. Ah well, I'll find some other way to be nice.

With Angelboi's new title, provided by thalmin, which makes Clay want to do something nice, prompting Trev to think of a song and post, further initiating... Someone to... Another person that... Everyone doing...

Huh?

:p

Well done, Curt! You the Man! :)

clay's post really makes me think of this country song that i know... chain of love or something. Great song.

Agreed. Great song.

Artist/Band: Walker Clay
Song: The Chain Of Love
Album: Live, Laugh, Love

He was driving home one evening,
In his beat up Pontiac
When an old lady flagged him down,
Her Mercedes had a flat
He could see that she was frightened,
Standing out there in the snow
'Til he said I'm here to help you ma'am,
By the way my name is Joe

She said I'm from St. Louis,
And I'm only passing through
I must have seen a hundred cars go by,
This is awful nice of you
When he changed the tire,
And closed her trunk
And was about to drive away,
She said how much do I owe you
Here's what he had to say

You don't owe me a thing, I've been there too
Someone once helped me out,
Just the way I'm helping you
If you really want to pay me back,
Here's what you do
Don't let the chain of love end with you

Well a few miles down the road,
The lady saw a small cafe
She went in to grab a bite to eat,
And then be on her way
But she couldn't help but notice,
How the waitress smiled so sweet
And how she must've been eight months along,
And dead on her feet

And though she didn't know her story,
And she probably never will
When the waitress went to get her change,
From a hundred dollar bill
The lady slipped right out the door,
And on a napkin left a note
There were tears in the waitress's eyes,
When she read what she wrote

You don't owe me a thing,
I've been there too
Someone once helped me out,
Just the way I'm helping you
If you really want to pay me back,
Here's what you do
Don't let the chain of love end with you

That night when she got home from work,
The waitress climbed into bed
She was thinkin' about the money,
And what the lady's note had said
As her husband lay there sleeping,
She whispered soft and low
Everything's gonna be alright, I love you,
Joe

Thalmin, I tip my hat to you. You've done a great thing. :)

And Angelsboi, You're in my thoughts everyday.
Last night I had a dream where a bunch of ENWorlders were making a roadtrip to GenCon (or somewhere) and we drove to Atlanta to pick you up on the way. It was a pleasure to meet you in the dream, I hope to meet you in person! You're putting up a good fight, and I'm backing you up. Keep it going!

Rich

Heck Angel, tell you what. You promise to hang in there and work on getting better until next GenCon and I'll pick you up myself. I only live 4 hours north of Atlanta... :D And Thalmin, you're making me want to move north to go to your game store... stop it.... :p

Edited for clarity... Evil grammer daemons!

Feel free to visit, Micar Sin. When Gen Con was in Milwaukee, a few people stopped by the store before catching their flights. Or you could swing by for an upcoming EN World Chicago Gameday. (It would be great if you and Angelsboi could make it up for one.)

See what you've done now Ryan? You're obligated to live. You owe too many people to die, so you might as well survive.:)

Oh, and for GenCon Indy 2004 you will give a full report.

Enjoy your supporting membership.

(If only more people saw the value in being kind.)
